Net Meeting

There has been quite a bit of chatter about creating a Net on our fabulous repeater.  We old local CB'ers  adopted 14 as the official Kingman channel.  We have, for the most part, have a great time talking and shooting the bull.  Six of us expanded our comms to include GMRS.  We sort of adopted channel 18 on GMRS as a home channel.  Of course, we hear the Las Vegas repeater coming in strong, and often enjoy their meetings and banter.  Personally, I could not pass the muster on their trivia meetings.  Some of those questions are hard, and I know I have lost most of not all of my gray matter.  Still sounds fun.

So, I have never run a net but am willing to try.  I will research as much as I can on roll call, topics, and the hard part of gathering data on when is a time that fits others time.  I honestly think the first meeting should be live at a breakfast gathering.  The airport has a great little place to eat, and what better way meeting than at an airport!

I am open to suggestions on topics.  I think a topic on Kingman history would be great.  Even to the extent of Andy Devine and his movies.  Or, his involvement in the world of HAM.  And his old call sign, Red Rooster!

So shoot me some ideas, and let's coordinate this!!
